William John Gore and Caroline Hales.1 He married Lady Augusta Lavinia Priscilla Ponsonby, daughter of John William Ponsonby, 4th Earl of Bessborough and Lady Maria Fane, on 2 April 1845 at All Souls, Marylebone, London, England.2 He died on 6 July 1897 at age 85 at Wimbledon Commons, London, England.2 He was buried at Woolbeding, Sussex, England.2
     Hon. Charles Alexander Gore was Commissioner of Woods and Forests between 1839 and 1885.1
