Sir Augustus Cholmondeley Gough-Calthorpe, 6th Baron Calthope was born on 8 November 1829 at Elvetham, Hampshire, England.1 He was the son of Frederick Gough, 4th Baron Calthorpe and Lady Charlotte Sophia Somerset.1 He married Maud Augusta Louisa Duncombe, daughter of Hon. Octavius Duncombe and Lady Emily Caroline Campbell, on 22 July 1869 at St. Paul's Church, Knightsbridge, London, England.1 He died on 22 July 1910 at age 80 at Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, London, England, without surviving male issue.1 He was buried on 27 July 1910 at Elvetham, Hampshire, England.1 His will was probated on 30 September 1910, at £177,393 gross, and £167,909 net.1
