     She was also known as Annabella Murray.3 After her marriage, Annabel Murray was styled as Countess of Mar. From before 29 January 1556/57, her married name became Erskine.3,4

     Sir William Douglas was born between 1470 and 1475.2 He was the son of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Angus and Elizabeth Boyd.1 He married Elizabeth Auchinleck, daughter of James Auchinleck of Glenbervie and Giles Ross, in 1501.2 He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, EnglandG, killed in action.2
     He was appointed Knight in 1511.2 He lived at Glenbervie, Kincardineshire, Scotland.3 He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.2
