     Alexander Hamilton of Ballencrieff was born circa 1685. He was the son of James Hamilton of Ballencrieff and Margaret Nicolson.² He married Lady Mary Kerr, daughter of Lt.-Gen. William Kerr, 2nd Marquess of Lothian and Lady Jane Campbell.³ He died in 1763.²
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ballencrieff. He held the office of Postmaster-General [Scotland].

     James Hamilton of Ballencrieff was born on 21 November 1725.² He was the son of Alexander Hamilton of Ballencrieff and Lady Mary Kerr.¹ He was baptised on 22 November 1725 at Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland.² He died in 1798.²
     He lived at Ballencrieff, Scotland^G.

     Mark Kerr was the son of Walter Kerr of Cessford and Agnes Crichton.¹ He married Marjorie Ainslie, daughter of John Ainslie of Dolphinstoun.¹ He died in 1433.¹

     William Hay, 4th Earl of Erroll was the son of William Hay, 3rd Earl of Erroll and Lady Isabella Gordon.¹ He married, firstly, Christian Lyon, daughter of John Lyon, 3rd Lord Glamis and Elizabeth Scrymgeour, circa 24 April 1492.¹ He married, secondly, Margaret Kerr, daughter of Andrew Kerr of Auldtounburn and Cessford and Margaret Tweedie, circa 17 May 1509.¹ He died on 9 September 1513 at Flodden Field, Northumberland, England^G.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Hay [S., 1430] on 14 January 1506/7.¹ He succeeded as the 4th Earl of Erroll [S., 1452] on 14 January 1506/7.¹ He held the office of Hereditary Sheriff of Aberdeen on 10 February 1510/11.¹ He fought in the Battle of Flodden on 9 September 1513.¹

     Arthur Forbes, 5th Lord Forbes was born before 1478. He was the son of William Forbes, 3rd Lord Forbes and Lady Christian Gordon.¹ He married Agnes Lyon, daughter of John Lyon, 3rd Lord Glamis and Elizabeth Scrymgeour, before 1493.¹ He died in 1493, without issue.¹
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Forbes [S., 1445] before 6 May 1491.¹

     Thomas William Bourne lived at Blakwenay, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Alfred Howard was born on 5 December 1888.¹ He was the son of Gerald Richard Howard and Ada Curtis.² He married Merle Ethel McEwan, daughter of James McEwan, in January 1922.¹
     With the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.¹

     Merle Ethel McEwan is the daughter of James McEwan.² She married Alfred Howard, son of Gerald Richard Howard and Ada Curtis, in January 1922.¹
     Her married name became Howard.

     Bertram Marcus Howard was born on 10 September 1890.¹ He was the son of Gerald Richard Howard and Ada Curtis.² He married Phyllis Maude Lamb, daughter of Robert James Lamb, on 28 April 1924.¹ He died in 1970.¹
     He fought in the First World War, with the East Riding Yeomanry.¹
