     John Arbuthnott, 5th Viscount of Arbuthnott was born circa 1692.1 He was the son of Robert Arbuthnott, 3rd Viscount of Arbuthnott and Anne Gordon.1 He married Jean Morrison, daughter of William Morrison, after May 1710.1 He died on 8 May 1756 at Arbuthnott, Kincardineshire, Scotland, without issue.1
     John Arbuthnott, 5th Viscount of Arbuthnott succeeded to the title of 5th Lord Inverbervie, of co. Kincardine [S., 1641] on 8 May 1710.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Viscount of Arbuthnott, of co. Kincardine [S., 1641] on 8 May 1710.1 He was a Jacobite and Nonjuror.1
