     He was given the name of Caesar Cranmer at birth.2 He was also known as Caesar Wood after inheriting conisderable property from his uncle, Sir Henry Wood as of circa 1676.1,2 He was appointed Knight in 1677.2 He lived at Astwoodbury, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.3

     John Adams was born on 10 November 1827 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 He was the son of George Adams and Polly Young.1 He married Caroline Quintal, daughter of Arthur Quintal and Catherine McCoy, on 16 April 1843 at Pitcairn IslandG.1 He died on 29 May 1897 at age 69 at Norfolk IslandG.1
     In 1849 when Buffett returned to Pitcairn, John piloted the longboat for the first time.1 He was Councillor of Norfolk Island in 1858. He was Councillor of Norfolk Island in 1870.
