     Ninian Lowis was born on 23 August 1878.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Ninian Lowis and Selina Caroline Shakespear.1 He married Lucy Alice Emma Glass, daughter of Thomas Glass, on 22 August 1907.1
     Ninian Lowis fought in the First World War between 1916 and 1918, where he was wounded twice.1 He was decorated with the Military Medal (M.M.).1 He was a journalist at Bedfordshire, England.1

Sir Patrick William Maule Ramsay was born on 20 September 1879.1 He was the son of Sir John William Ramsay, 13th Earl of Dalhousie and Lady Ida Louisa Bennet.1 He married Dorothy Cynthia Surtees, daughter of Brig.-Gen.
