     Jonet Mathew was the daughter of Thomas Mathew.1 She married, secondly, Sir Rhys ap Thomas, son of Thomas ap Gruffudd and Elsbeth Griffith.1 She married, firstly, Thomas Stradling.1 She died in 1535.1
     Her married name became Stradling.1

     Sir Richard Edgcumbe was born in 1570.2 He was the son of Sir Piers Edgcumbe and Margaret Luttrell.1,3 He married, firstly, Anne Cary, daughter of George Cary.3 He married, secondly, Mary Cotteel, daughter of Sir Thomas Cotteel, in 1608.2 He died in 1638.1

     Sir Richard Edgcumbe was born in 1640.1 He was the son of Colonel Piers Edgcumbe and Mary Glanville.1 He married Lady Anne Montagu, daughter of Edward Montagu, 1st Earl of Sandwich and Jemima Crew, in 1670.1 He died in 1688.1
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) in 1661.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1678.2 He had two elder sons, who died young.2

     Sir Piers Edgcumbe was the son of Sir Richard Edgcombe and Joan Tremayne.2 He married, secondly, Catherine St. John, daughter of John St. John.1 He married Jane Durnford, daughter of Stephen Durnford.2 He died in 1539.1
     He lived at Cotehele, Cornwall, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Devon circa 1495.2 He held the office of Sheriff of Devon circa 1498.2 He fought in the Siege of Thérouanne.2 He fought in the Battle of the Spurs.2 He fought in the Siege of Tournai.2 He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.) circa 1513.2 In 1513 with King Henry VIII's French expedition.2

     Agnes Rice was the daughter of Rhys ap Griffith and Lady Katharine Howard.1 She married Sir Edward Bayntun, son of Sir Edward Bayntun and Elizabeth Sulyard.1 She died on 19 August 1574.2
     Her married name became Bayntun.1 She and William Stourton, 7th Baron Stourton were associated.1
