     Robert Elphinstone, 3rd Lord Elphinstone was born on 9 September 1530.2 He was the son of Alexander Elphinstone, 2nd Lord Elphinstone and Katherine Erskine.1 He married Margaret Drummond, daughter of Sir John Drummond of Innerpeffray and Margaret Stewart, in 1546.2 He died in May 1602 at age 71.
     Robert Elphinstone, 3rd Lord Elphinstone gained the title of 3rd Lord Elphinstone.

     Margaret Drummond was the daughter of Sir John Drummond of Innerpeffray and Margaret Stewart.1 She married Robert Elphinstone, 3rd Lord Elphinstone, son of Alexander Elphinstone, 2nd Lord Elphinstone and Katherine Erskine, in 1546.2
     Legitimated.2 Her married name became Elphinstone.

     Alexander Elphinstone, 2nd Lord Elphinstone was born on 22 May 1510.2 He was the son of Alexander Elphinstone, 1st Lord Elphinstone and Elizabeth Barlow.1 He married Katherine Erskine, daughter of Alexander Erskine, 3rd Lord Erskine.2 He died on 10 September 1547 at age 37 at Pinkie, Scotland.
     Alexander Elphinstone, 2nd Lord Elphinstone gained the title of 2nd Lord Elphinstone.
