Sir John Bourchier, 1st Lord Berners was born circa 1415.1 He was the son of Sir William Bourchier, 1st Count of Eu and Anne of Woodstock, Countess of Buckingham.1 He married Marjorie Berners, daughter of Sir Richard Berners and Philippe Dalyngridge, after 1441.2 He died on 16 May 1474.2 He was also reported to have died on 21 May 1474.2 He was buried at Chertsey Abbey, Surrey, England.2 His will (dated 21 March 1473/4) was probated on 21 June 1474.2
