     Lady Anne Lyon was the daughter of Patrick Lyon, 1st Earl of Kinghorne and Lady Anne Murray.2,1 She married William Hay, 10th Earl of Erroll, son of Francis Hay, 9th Earl of Erroll and Elizabeth Douglas, in 1618.1 She died on 8 February 1637.1
     Her married name became Hay. As a result of her marriage, Lady Anne Lyon was styled as Countess of Erroll on 16 July 1631.

     William Hay, 10th Earl of Erroll was the son of Francis Hay, 9th Earl of Erroll and Elizabeth Douglas.1 He married Lady Anne Lyon, daughter of Patrick Lyon, 1st Earl of Kinghorne and Lady Anne Murray, in 1618.1 He died on 7 December 1636.1
     William Hay, 10th Earl of Erroll was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland].1 He succeeded to the title of 11th Lord Hay [S., 1430] on 16 July 1631.1 He succeeded to the title of 10th Earl of Erroll [S., 1452] on 16 July 1631.1
