Sir George Vernon was the son of Richard Vernon and Margaret Manners.2 He married Margaret Talboys.3 He died in 1565.3
For his extensive possessions.3 Which included Haddon and 29 other manors.3 Sir George Vernon also went by the nick-name of 'King of the Peak'.3 In 1567 married 2nd Maud (married 2nd Sir Francis Hastings but d without issue 1596), dau of Sir Ralph Longford, of Longford, Derbys).3 He lived at Nether Haddon, Derbyshire, England.
